In paragraph 19, the author employ three interesting words, which the first alphabet of the three words is “g”. The three words are golden, glowing and glorious. The gold means “special, advantage or successful” and the glowing means “praising with enthusiasm”, the meaning of the glorious “deserves great admiration, praise and honor”. The author uses the three words to describe his triumph, but sometimes I think we employ the one from the three words is enough. In[去掉] here the author employ three words in order to prepare for the “overwhelming”. “Overwhelming” means “difficult to fight against”. The “overwhelming need” would be just right to interpret why the author don’t intend to defend himself.
I don’t know the word of “exulting”, so I look it up in dictionary. But I only found [find] the “exult”—“to express great pleasure or happiness, especially at someone else's defeat or failure”. So I guess the meaning of “exulting” is [the] same as the “exult”, the only difference between “exulting” and “exult” is that “exulting” is a noun.
In paragraph 20 the author said the cake that his husband fried is the greatest cake. I don’t[少成分]this assessment is come[coming] from the author or his husband. If the assessment is the author did, but I can’t understand why the article said his husband is exulting. I don’t think his husband is exulting. If the assessment is his husband did, but in the article author use[uses] the “purely objective” to describe the assessment.
