職場英語詞匯：我要休假

上班朝九晚五的，非常辛苦。休假成為人們調整休息，處理私務的必要手段。那么如何開口向你的上司表示你需要休假呢？

　　I feel a little bit home sick. I want to take a home leave and be with my family for a week.

　　我有點想家了。我想休息一周與我的家人團聚。

　　I’m afraid I can’t come to work today. I’m not feeling well.

　　我恐怕今天不能上班了。我覺得很不舒服。

　　I’ve been really busy for a long time. I need some rest.

　　我忙了好長一段時間，我需要休息。

　　I’m asking for a week’s leave to prepare for my wedding.

　　我要請一周假，因為我要結婚了。

英語儲蓄常用語

　　What's the interest rate for the savings account?

　　儲蓄存款的利率是多少？

　　Do you pay interest on this account?

　　這種存款付給利息嗎？

　　Please tell me what the annual interest rate is.

　　請告訴我年利率是多少。

　　Interest is paid at the rate of 1% per annum at present.

　　目前每年的利率是1%。

　　It allows you to earn a little interest on your money.

　　這可使你從存款中獲得一點利息。

　　The account carries interest of 4%.

　　該存款有4%的利息。

　　The interest is added to your account every year.

　　每年的利息都加到你的存款中。

英語問路

　　1.Keep going 50 yards before you come to a fork road. 繼續走 50 碼, 直到你走到一個三叉路口.

　　繼續往下走可以用 keep going 這個字, 或是 continue straight 或是 keep straight 也很常用. Fork road 就是我們說的三叉路口. 那如果是丁字路口要怎么說? 你可以說, This road will dead end into 10th Street. 就可以表達出丁字路口的意思了.

　　2. Make a right, pass two stop signs and you will run into a Wal Mart. 向右轉, 經過二個 Stop sign, 你就會遇到 Wal Mart.

　　You’ll run into it! 意思就是, 我會遇到的. 他們也喜歡這么說, You can’t miss it! 就是說, 你絕不會錯過的.

　　3. The post office is just right across the street of it. 郵局就在 Wal Mart的正對面.

　　個人覺的 Right across the street of it 是個很重要的片語, 加上 "right" across 表示出 "正" 對面的意思. 還有一個很常用的就是在什么什么的旁邊, 這個要用 The office is next to it. It 代表之前已經提過的 Wal Mart, 如果之前沒有提及, 這里也可以直接說成, across the street of Wal Mart.

　　4. Mr. Yang’s house is behind the post office. 楊先生的房子就在郵局后面.

　　有一次也是有一個老美路我問路, 由于那個地方不是很遠, 我就用手指這那里說, It’s over there. 可是事實上那里是被一棟建筑物給擋住了, 所以老美就反問我, Behind this building? 所以我就知道我應該說成 It’s behind this building 會來得比較好些.
