　　There are many advantages to having a pet. For example, taking care of a pet can teach people responsibility, which is new to many university students. In addition, pets can keep people company and are well-known for making people happy.

　　While there are many reasons for having a pet, keeping one illegally in the dorms can be problematic. First of all, some students may be allergic to pets. Secondly, some dorm mates may not care for the way the pet smells. Thirdly, many pets are loud and may disturb the other residents in your dorm or hall.

　　For many universities, students keeping pets in the dormitories is against the rules. Despite this, some students choose to have a pet at university. However, I don't believe that it's a good idea to keep a pet in the dormitories.

　　when you come into our room，the first thing you will notice is the window right opposite you，with a lovely view of the campus. in front of the window there are four writing tables. mine is the one nearest to the door. on top of it，you can see a photo of my family and several piles of books. behind the table there is a radiator and under each table there is a stool. on each side of the room there are two bunk beds covered with clean bed spreads. some brightly colored quilts are neatly folded at the foot of the beds. on the wall above the beds are pictures of famous movie stars or singers. to the left of the window hangs a calendar and beside it is a mirror.

　　on the left are built-in bookshelves with a shelf for each person. our dormitory is not very big，but it is neat，clean and comfortable.

　　Dormitory life is an indispensable part of college life. But sometimes the harmony in the dormitory can be disturbed in one way or another.

　　As is known to all，a harmonious dormitory life is important to college students and benefits all the members. On one hand，we can have a good rest and put our heart into study. On the other hand，we will have a good mood and enjoy being together.

　　There are several ways to create and maintain a harmonious dormitory life. Firstly，you have to evaluate your life-style and try to get rid of your dirty habits，if there are any. Secondly，when an annoying situation arises，you’ll just have to learn to tolerate each other and co-exist. Thirdly，you’ll have to share with each other and make good friends.

　　In conclusion，we should try our best to build a harmonious dormitory life for the sake of good study and good life.

　　As soon as you enter the house, you will know that it is a girls＇bedroom. The first thing to catch your sight is the neatly arranged desks in the middle. On both sider of the room stand four two-deck beds, The quilts are folded in squares. Over each bed there hangs a curtain.

　　Wind-bells are popular in our bedroom. Once you get on the bed, you will hear the sound of jingling bells. Small animals are on each bed. Most of them are silly, funny and lovely. There are somethings particular on Shi Yin＇s bed. There are Micky Mouse, Donald Duck, a duckling, a baby panda, and a little hedgedog, in addition to three silly bears standing on each other in the figure of a glare, Actually it resembles an out-and-out zoo.

　　I like our bedroom. It gives me a sense of being home. It is a warm and comfortable place to live in.

　　Some people believe that keeping pets is a good thing to do.They believe that pets,like cats and dogs,can help reduce the loneliness in their daily life .They also argue that keeping pets helps mankind understand animals' world and develop positive feelings toward them.

　　Others,however,hold the opposite view.They think keeping pets as a useless but harmful thing to do.First,pets can transmit diseases.Secondly,the noises of pets are sources of pollution.Last but not least,as many rare birds and animals are kept as pets,they will surely be hunted on a large scale,which means a threat to the balance of the ecosystem.

　　Weighing the arguments of both sides,I am inclined to agree with the latter.Anyway,we can lessen our loneliness and express our love toward animals in other ways.And it is my belief that only by placing man and other species on an equal basis can we expect to have a lively and colorful world.
