一看，原來是爺爺在讀英語呢！爺爺一看見我，馬上就說：“寶貝孫女啊！來聽聽爺爺讀的英語準不準。”爺爺拿起英語書，一本正經地念：“‘五門’、‘不拿拿’、‘鬧醒’……”我愣了，半天反應不過來，“五門”、“不拿拿”和“鬧醒”是什么東西啊？我拿過爺爺手中的書，一看，差點摔倒，原來是“woman”、“banana”、“nothing”啊！我哈哈大笑，對爺爺說：“爺爺，這幾個單詞不是這樣讀的。”我把正確的`讀給爺爺聽，爺爺一聽，哈哈大笑：“原來是這樣讀啊！我那個年代沒接觸過英語，現在看電視里有些節目在教英語，所以就很想學，特別是今年是奧運年，所以我就更得學英語了。寶貝孫女啊！你就教教爺爺吧！”我說：“爺爺，奧運會都過去了，你現在學英語也沒用。”雖然這么說，但是在爺爺的“苦苦糾纏”下，我只好答應了。
可是，教爺爺學英語可不是一件美差。爺爺的“ABCD”寫得龍飛鳳舞，你要不仔細看，還不知道他在寫什么呢！爺爺讀的英語，英語中夾著一點我們的家鄉話，聽起來怪怪的。這一天下來，我教爺爺的英語單詞。爺爺該不會的還是不會，甚至把單詞都忘了。
雖然爺爺怎么學也學不會，但是爺爺的“活到老，學到老”的精神和堅持到底的毅力，還是值得我學習的。
