爺爺身體不太好，還有糖尿病，醫生叮囑過爺爺要保證睡眠的充足，可爺爺為了學好英語，晚上仍然堅持去上老年英語培訓班。爸爸也曾勸他多休息，擔心過分的勞累會影響他的身體。但他堅定的對我們全家人說："為了北京的奧運，再大的困難也要堅持！"
在爺爺的`不懈努力下，他的英語水平已有了一定的進步，基本的一些口語他都能比較流利的說出來。值得驕傲的是，在爺爺的帶動下，我們小區里的一些老年人都開始學起了英語，報上了老年英語培訓班。
