　　重音的發音規則和方法

雅思考試口語專項模擬練習

　　 句子重音的功能：

　　a.體現句子的節奏感和韻律感;

　　b.突出重點,使聽者更容易理解。

　　 一般方法：

　　a.在句子中需重讀的詞為實詞，比如，名詞、動詞、形容詞、副詞、數詞、代詞等;

　　b.不重讀的多為虛詞,比如,冠詞、連詞、介詞、感嘆詞等;

　　c.be動詞及助動詞和not結合表否定時需重讀。

　　 新信息原則

　　在答語或語段中，再次出現的不含有新信息的實義詞，通常不重讀;表示新信息的詞要重讀。

　　Eg. How many students are there in the classroom?——There are fifty students in the classroom.

　　 強化性原則

　　為了強調某詞，無論是實詞還是虛詞，均須重讀。

　　Eg. What does he like best?——He likes to play basketball best, like her.

　　Listen to the end of the life expectancy audio recording again and underline the words in each sentence that carry the main stress. Two have been done for you.(學生自主練習)

　　‘Terrible isn't it? I know that about two thirds of Botswana is desert, but I also know it has a great natural resource, diamonds, so it's a relatively wealthy country and it only has a small population. I've also heard that it has a good system of government and there is no civil war or fighting. It even has free education and health care for all its citizens.’

　　‘Why do they die so young then?’ ‘Disease. The AIDS epidemic. It's the worst-affected country in the world!’

　　：Practise saying the following sentences stressing the words in bold. Remember the stressed words will be spoken slightly louder and longer than the others.(學生自主練習)

　　· They have quite a low standard of living.

　　· What about New Zealand?

　　· They've got plenty of clean, fresh air.

　　· I've also heard that it has a good system of government.

　　· On the whole, they are quite well-educated.

　　· I've heard they're very friendly, too.
