therefore的用法詳解(2)
例如：The swimming pool won't be open today because they're making repairs.
游泳池今天不開放，因?yàn)樗麄冊(cè)谛蘩怼?/p>
Why did you move to France?
你們?yōu)槭裁窗岬椒▏?
Because my father found work in Paris.
因?yàn)槲腋赣H在巴黎找到了工作。
注意：在英語中用了because后，不可再用so。
as 是從屬連詞，說明一般的因果關(guān)系，語氣比because弱，說明比較明顯的原因，它引導(dǎo)的從句通常放在句首，有時(shí)也可放在句末。
例如：As it is raining, you\'d better take a taxi.
天下雨了，你最好乘出租車。
since 意為"既然"，表示對(duì)方已知的無需加以說明的原因或事實(shí)，語氣比because弱，但是比as 強(qiáng)。
例如：Since we have no money, we can't buy that vase.
既然我們沒錢，我們就不能買那花瓶。
Since everybody is here, let's begin our party.
既然大家都到了，那就開始我們的聚會(huì)吧!
for 是并列連詞，用來附帶解釋說明前一分句的原因或理由，for引導(dǎo)的并列句，一般放在所要說明的句子的后面。
例如：I went to see him, for I had something to tell him.
我去見他，因?yàn)槲矣惺乱嬖V他。
只有therefore是表示結(jié)果的意思而不是原因.
Therefore，Thus ，hence，then，accordingly與So用法辨析
1.therefore adv.因此, 所以=for that reason=consequently常用于連接兩個(gè)并列分句，其前加“and”或分號(hào)“;”。
He was ill, and therefore could not come. 他病了, 所以未能來。
He has broken his leg and therefore he can't walk.他摔壞了腿，因此不能走路了。
We do not have enough money. Therefore we cannot afford to buy the new car.我們的錢不夠,因此買不成這輛新車。
2、so conj. adv因而, 所以, 結(jié)果是
It was late, so we went home. 天晚了, 所以我們就回家去了。
He was sick, so they were quiet.他病了，所以他們很安靜。
3、hence adv.因此, 從此
The town was built among the hills, hence the name Hilltown. 該城鎮(zhèn)修建在群山之中,故取名'山城'。
It is very late; hence you must go to bed.時(shí)間已經(jīng)很晚了，因此你必須睡覺去。(記住前面是分號(hào)，而不是逗號(hào))
4、then adv因此，就
Go into the cave, then they won't see you. 躲進(jìn)洞里去，那他們就看不到你了。
5、accordingly adv.因此, 從而;所以，因此結(jié)果;因此(偶作連詞使用conj.)
He was asked to leave the city and accordingly he went.有人叫他離開該城市,所以他就走了。
You may arrange accordingly.你可以權(quán)宜處理。
Mr Foster has never been to China. Consequently / Hence he knows very little about it.福斯特先生從未去過中國,所以對(duì)中國了解得很少。
My car was broken down and consequently I was late. = in consequence
6、Thus adv.如此，像這樣;因此;于是
He sold his farm and thus he had enough money for his journey.他賣掉了農(nóng)場(chǎng)，這樣他就有足夠的錢旅行了。
There has been no rain — thus, the crops are drying.天沒下雨，因此莊稼要枯死了。
